Tasting Traditional Lithuanian Beer
Historically, brewing in Lithuania dates back to the 9th century. As in western and central Europe, monks' beer brewed in monasteries and alewives' beer brewed in the cottage kitchen eventually gave way to beer produced by commercial breweries.
We offer the beer tasting session at beer cellar "Bambalyne". This is the place for those who are sworn beer fans as well as those who love to discover original tastes of local food and drinks. There are served about 70 kind of beers produced mostly by small private breweries. There is no one other place in Vilnius offering such great variety of local beers. Several non alcohol original refreshing drinks can also be taste here. One day visit to this place is not enough to know a real taste of Lithuanian beer.
